Acadian Redfish Tacos | Tomato, Corn, & Avocado Slaw Topped with a Garlic Lemon Sriracha Sauce

Acadian Redfish happens to be one of our favorite filets of seafood. The fish is very affordable, is tender and sweet, and a great alternative to everyone's favorite white flaky fish, haddock. The fish tacos we prepare with Acadian Redfish resemble something you would probably see during summer. However, as the colder rainy days come upon us in the Northeast, we will need something that reminds us of summertime on Duxbury Beach or the Cape.

We lightly season the Acadian Redfish with olive oil, salt, and pepper and quickly pan fry it. Once in the pan, you will notice the filet will plump up and become meaty which we love for our tacos. Our slaw can be made in 5 minutes as we add together tomatoes, corn, and avocado while topping it with lemon and lime to serve. On the side we typically prepare with a homemade cabbage salad which goes great with just about every seafood dish we make.

To elevate the tacos, we finish them with our signature garlic lemon sriracha sauce. Be sure to grab a little extra sauce so you can dip these puppies as you are eating them. Enjoy!

Acadian Redfish

  • 1 lb Acadian Redfish
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Pepper
  • 4 Taco Shells

Tomato, Corn, & Avocado Slaw

  • 1 Whole Tomato - Diced
  • ½ Cup Corn
  • 1 Avocado - Sliced and Cubed
  • ½ Cup Salad - Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Lime Juice

Garlic Lemon Sriracha Sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons Mayo
  • 1 Clove Garlic - Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Sriracha Sauce


Acadian Redfish

  1. Pre-heat pan over medium heat with olive oil and butter
  2. Pat dry the Acadian Redfish with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, and olive oil. Once complete, place the filets into the pan, skin side down first. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes depending on the thickness of the filets.

Tomato, Corn, and Avocado Slaw

  1. Prep, dice, and combine the vegetables in a bowl (avocados, tomatoes, corn, and lettuce). Top with salt and pepper while adding the lemon and lime juices.

Garlic Lemon Sriracha Sauce

  1. Whisk together the mayo, minced garlic, lemon juice, and sriracha sauce.
  2. Lightly toast and warm the taco shells. Once completed, plate the Acadian Redfish with the tomato, avocado, and corn slaw on top. Finish by adding the Garlic Lemon Sriracha Sauce.
