Headquartered on the historic Boston Fish Pier, Red’s Best was founded in 2008 to serve fishermen from local coastal communities in the USA.


Red’s Best aggregates and distributes wild-caught fish and seafood for over 1,000 small community based fishing vessels. Their mission is to sustain the livelihoods of American fishermen while sustaining fisheries for harvest. Their unique traceability software system electronically tracks daily catch from the moment a fishermen unloads their vessel onto Red’s best trucks. They take direct physical control, developing a chain of custody, so you can trust that your seafood is caught locally or regionally, labeled correctly and subjected to quality control along its journey to you. Red’s Best drivers meet fishermen at the dock with waterproof tablets and upload catch data (species, fisherman, vessel, port and gear) into Red’s Best custom traceability software. Data syncs to the cloud creating real time inventory streamlining regulation reporting and tracing catch back to the fleet.


Red's Best mission is to find a home for everything a fisherman lands. In any given week, Red’s Best sees over 60 different species. Their catch is so diverse because they purchase all the catch landed from over 1,000 vessels annually.
